PSO taps CSCL team to tackle Storytimes
Cooper-Siegel Community Library (CSCL) has officially signed on as partners of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s (PSO) 2025-26 Fiddlesticks Musical Exploration Series. The series, held at Pittsburgh’s famed Heinz Hall, includes three family-friendly concerts designed to introduce children ages 3 to 8 to a lifelong love of music. Generations of families have enjoyed Fiddlesticks’ imaginative musical adventures since their 1991 inception.

CSCL Inaugura Su Nueva Colección con el Apoyo de un Ícono Global
La Biblioteca Cooper-Siegel Community Library (CSCL) ha inaugurado oficialmente su nueva colección “Idiomas del mundo” (World Languages) en el apoyo de la mundialmente conocida autora latina Isabel Allende. Esta colección incluye libros escritos originalmente en idiomas distintos al inglés, como el español, chino, árabe y otros muchos títulos populares en inglés traducidos a otros idiomas.

SCL Fundraiser gets spooky in the stacks (and beyond)
On November 1, SCL will partner with Bump in the Night Society, a Pittsburgh-based paranormal investigation group, to host the inaugural Haunted Sharpsburg Paranormal Experience. From 7 to 10 p.m., attendees will learn the ins and outs of ghost hunting and conduct their own investigations of the library and the nearby Linden Gym.

Trillium Garden Club Adds Beauty To SCL
Sharpsburg Community Library’s (SCL) colorful façade is further enhanced by the selfless efforts of local volunteers known as the Trillium Garden Club (TGC). The club, comprised of residents of the Fox Chapel Area School District and beyond, maintains the library’s flowerbeds and landscaping through a well-organized revitalization plan that kicked off in April 2023.
