The library provides research assistance and access to computers and the Internet at no charge. There are study rooms and study areas throughout the library. Reference help is available from library staff and through online resources. A collection of digital books, audiobooks and video is available to download. Access to some resources may require a library card.

Find books, DVDs, and more in the online Catalog. The Catalog is provided through the eiNetwork, a collaboration of the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The catalog contains approximately 3.5 million items including books, movies and music recordings that you can borrow with your library card and pick up at the location of your choice.

Access Learning Express Here: An online learning resource for college and career prep (SAT, ACT and more), ESL learners, career testing (ASVAB, NCLEX and more) and many other learning tools. You must create a free account, having an email address is not required. You'll need your library card if you're accessing Learning Express from outside of the library
Online Resources Available With Your Library Card
These online databases, an alternative to using Internet websites, are provided through a collaboration of public libraries in Allegheny County. The databases contain information on books and homework topics, provide access to magazine and newspaper articles, and more. An Allegheny County public library card is required when using the databases from outside of a public library.
Downloadable Audio, Books Magazines and Video
This is a collection of downloadable resources available to use on a computer, on a device, or on both. An Allegheny County public library card is required. Downloadable resources are offered through several different services provided by the Allegheny County Library Association and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
