Finding & Borrowing Materials

Materials may be searched for and requested through the online Catalog, in person at the library, by calling the library or by sending an email to the library. Items may be sent to and picked up at any public library in Allegheny County. Renewals of materials may be requested through the online Catalog before their due dates. Telephone renewal is also available.

Request Materials

Materials may be requested through the online Catalog, at the library, by calling the library, or by sending an email to the library (link to the Contact us form). Items may be sent to any public library in Allegheny County. You may request items not found in the online Catalog by requesting an Interlibrary Loan.

Renew Materials

Items may be renewed twice after their normal loan period expires, except for books belonging to the best-sellers program, E-readers, items borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, and items that have a hold placed on them by another patron. Renewals may be made over the phone, in person, or online with your library card. Items that are not renewed on or before the last day of a loan period will accrue late fees.

Return Materials

A book return is located at the front of the library. It may be used outside the library's normal operating hours. Items may be returned to any public library in Allegheny County.

Delivery Service to Homebound Residents

The library has an outreach program designed for residents who live in the Fox Chapel Area School District who are homebound.

Delivery days and times can be arranged with participants and are generally flexible. To make arrangements, call us: 412-828-9520.
